	My favorite Art Style is Realism

	Realism is a type of art that shows things exactly as they appear in life. It began in the 18th century, but the greatest Realist era was in the mid-19th century. Most Realists were from France, but there were some famous American painters who were Realists also.

This painting is called "The Awakening of Eros" and it was painted by Eric Armusik. I decided to put this picture on my web page because it was painted using realism art work. The child in the picture almos looks real as a real life baby would look. This is was makes realism work very special and unique.

The Mona Lisa is a famous 16th-century portrait by Leonardo da Vinci. The Mona Lisa's mysterious smile has beguiled generations of viewers, but the true identity of the woman pictured in the portrait remains unknown, despite intensive research by art historians. Many believe the Mona Lisa to be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini Giocondo, the wife of a wealthy Florentine merchant, Francesco del Giocondo. This portrait uses realism making the woman in the picture look very real.
